Women in Music Speaker (ΤΒΣ)
The Women in Music in Speaker Series has developed into the hallmark of the Sorority’s National Programs. An integral component of District and National Conventions, this program engages our members by providing the opportunity to meet women who work in various aspects of the music profession, including professional performers, music therapists, and educators. This program attempts to connect members with our mission statement by giving women in music a face.
Dr. Emily Freeman Brown, Bowling Green State University Director of Orchestral Activities
Emily Freeman Brown is Music Director and Conductor of the Bowling Green Philharmonia and Opera Theater at Bowling Green State University in Ohio and author of the recently released Dictionary for the Modern Conductor (Rowman & Littlefield). The Founders’ Circle is designed to provide individuals with a comprehensive understanding of leadership for their band programs and their future.

NEDAA Keynote Speaker
Each year the Northeast District Alumni Association (NEDAA) selects a written speech from an Active member as the Keynote Speech for the NED Convention. The entry will be selected by the NEDAA delegation prior to Convention. The winning applicant will receive a $100 stipend and will be asked to speak at the opening of the District Convention. All Active members of KKPsi and TBSigma are encouraged to apply.
